At Cambridge Health Alliance, we are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our ophthalmologists in their daily work.
Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for ophthalmological examinations and procedures
- Triage telephone calls and document patient information
- Assist with visual field testing, a-scan, and corneal topography
- Perform accurate refractions and complete thorough medical work-ups
- Assist with fundus photography and prepare fluorescein syringes
- Check equipment for cleanliness and maintain a sterile environment
- Assist with minor surgical and laser procedures
- Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
