At Cambridge Health Alliance, we are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at the CHA Eye Center. Located in our Highland Building at Somerville Hospital, our thriving practice provides comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient history intake, instrument maintenance, clinical optics, and ophthalmic photography. They will be responsible for preparing patients for individualized ophthalmic care services, including experience with visual fields, intermediate tonometry, contact lens screenings, and ocular pharmacology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform necessary testing prior to patient encounters with ophthalmologists and optometrists
  • Assist in minor surgical and laser procedures, adjunctive testing, and refraction exams
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification
