Key Responsibilities:

  • Reliability Initiatives: Champion improvements to our reliability initiatives throughout the facility, driving continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize proven problem-solving techniques to troubleshoot operational or quality issues in the paper and coated division of the mill.
  • Reliability Technologies: Remain knowledgeable of the latest reliability technologies and techniques, implementing them as appropriate to optimize equipment performance.
  • Maintenance Practices: Determine best maintenance practices for specific pieces of equipment and/or equipment types, including Operate to Failure, Preventive/Fixed Time Maintenance, Predictive/Condition-based maintenance, and more.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance and production teams to determine projects that increase value to the mill.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Utilize the root cause failure analysis system to prevent reoccurring failures.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop or modify preventative maintenance work requests within the CMMS system.
  • Precision Maintenance: Learn and foster precision maintenance best practices, acting as a resource for crafts.
  • Equipment Rebuilds: Plan, schedule, and execute major equipment rebuilds.
  • Safety and Standard Work: Perform first-line supervisory functions of promoting safety and actively participate in daily standard work, including commitment-based safety, daily review of production/equipment performance, and maintenance daily briefing.

Requirements:

  • Education: Four-year degree in mechanical, industrial, or chemical engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Must have experience in manufacturing environments (professional or internship).
  • Skills: Strong analytical, technical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with ability to handle deadlines, variable workloads, and being on call as required.
  • SAP Experience: SAP experience, particularly SAP Maintenance, is beneficial.
