Job Title: Public Affairs Manager

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, including municipal and state elected officials, business leaders, and community groups. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of public policy and be able to effectively communicate the company's position and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a community relations program to promote the company's image and products.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including elected officials, business leaders, and community groups.
  • Provide operational support, including responding to emergency situations and providing regulatory and governmental support as needed.
  • Deliver regulatory and governmental support, including filing regulatory documents and providing legislative support.
  • Serve as a point of contact and coordinate response for escalated customer service issues.
  • Counsel executive(s) on public policy and develop and recommend a public relations work plan for the assigned territory.
  • Monitor media communications and stay up-to-date on events and issues relevant to the company's service area.
  • Develop and monitor a functional and contributions budget to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, Marketing, or a closely related field.
  • Four years of related experience in the natural gas or related industry.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds from the ground and 25 pounds from 56 inches to 72 inches.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch.
