Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, organizing, and evaluating the activities of the production department at the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide a team of operators to meet production objectives effectively.
  • Assess team performance and provide constructive feedback to foster employee growth and positive behavior.
  • Establish and execute operational systems to ensure efficient, reliable, and cost-effective production processes. These systems may include Operator and Production Scheduling, Overtime Management, Continuous Improvement initiatives, Production Reporting, Inventory Control, and Visual Management techniques.
  • Oversee the Health and Safety protocols during assigned shifts, promptly addressing unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Monitor cleanliness and safety standards, responding appropriately to any issues.
  • Assist in developing quality management systems and ensure product quality during shifts.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team, including conducting shift start meetings.
  • Manage shipping and inventory activities to ensure timely and customer-focused operations.
  • Organize and participate in team and staff meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality assurance methods, and supply chain operations.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on motivating and inspiring team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve operational challenges.
  • Proficient in relevant software and tools for data analysis, production planning, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to maintaining workplace safety and compliance with regulations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience managing a team of 7-8 individuals is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing plant environment is necessary.
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on production and safety.
  • Stable work history with no less than 1 year of experience in previous roles.
  • Outstanding communication abilities are a must.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of implementing and managing effective change.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Hands-on technical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities are required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Applications, particularly in MS Excel.
  • Able to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Critical thinking and analytical decision-making skills are essential, along with a creative, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrates initiative, requiring minimal supervision, and takes pride in their work.

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Associate degree in operations management, engineering, or a related field is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Additional Information

  • Work Hours: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
