Recreational Therapist

Job Summary

As a Recreational Therapist at CoxHealth, you will provide supportive advocacy to patients and their families as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Your goal will be to overcome barriers to progression-of-care and facilitate a safe and coordinated discharge to the community.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Leisure Studies with emphasis on recreational therapy or Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS)
• Experience: Previous experience in mental health or age-specific population preferred
• Skills: Good communication skills, strong analytical & problem-solving skills, ability to maintain organization in a changing environment, and ability to initiate and understand research related to projects
