Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Care Specialist to join our team at Mejia Pediatrics in Elizabeth, New Jersey. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and adolescents.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses in pediatric patients
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop patient management policies and procedures
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as needed
  • Communicate effectively with collaborating physicians and specialists regarding patient care

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in pediatrics is preferred
  • NJ Certified Nurse Practitioner License is required
  • DEA certification is also required
  • English and Spanish language proficiency is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Strong leadership qualities are necessary for success in this role

About Us:

Mejia Pediatrics is a part-time pediatric office located in Elizabeth, New Jersey. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The expected hours of work are 24 per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts.
