Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at American Family Care, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases by performing radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest quality images are produced, and your attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining accurate records and reports.

Responsibilities
  • Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Process images, review for proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for reading by a physician or radiologist.
  • Utilize both digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, adhering to approved radiology techniques and policies.
  • Aid providers with prescribed patient treatments, following approved standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Assist with administrative and clinical needs, such as patient registration and medical assisting duties.

Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training. ARRT-registered, BLS certification, and Diagnostic radiography license are required. Compensation: $40.00 per hour.
