Position Summary:

The Traffic Management Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of work sites by managing traffic control measures. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary and permanent traffic control devices, as well as overseeing traffic control personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various vehicles as needed.
  • Set up and dismantle signs, barricades, and traffic cones.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and deployment of traffic control personnel.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols to safeguard both motorists and construction staff.
  • Handle loading and unloading of equipment and materials.
  • Move construction machinery as required.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in traffic management.
  • Familiarity with transportation regulations relevant to commercial vehicles.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions to maintain safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Proficient in operating equipment near workers and underground utilities.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License in good standing.
