Position Overview: LA Catholics is seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Studies Educator to design, execute, and manage a comprehensive instructional program that fosters a learning atmosphere rooted in Gospel values, empowering students to realize their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Delivery: Take ownership of the educational advancement of all students; implement a cohesive, evidence-based curriculum; maintain thorough documentation of syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, rubrics, and other instructional resources and strategies; utilize consistent institutional practices and tailored approaches to engage students effectively.
  • Classroom Leadership: Establish, oversee, and nurture a disciplined educational environment characterized by high academic and behavioral expectations; provide structure within the classroom by formulating and upholding institutional rules and standards; ensure the seamless execution of all instructional activities.
  • Assessment and Improvement: Develop and apply diverse assessment data to enhance curricula and teaching methodologies; assess academic success through data analysis of student outcomes.
  • Student Engagement & Community Building: Communicate effectively and cultivate strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues; foster and sustain a positive and inclusive classroom culture.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline is required; a valid teaching certification or license is preferred; prior experience working with high school students is advantageous.

Compensation: The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on internal pay policies and budgetary considerations. New hires typically receive compensation at the lower end of the wage range. Various factors, including skill sets, experience, training, and departmental needs, will be considered in the compensation decision-making process.
