Civil Graduate Engineer - Water/Wastewater

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is in search of a Civil Graduate Engineer to enhance our Water/Wastewater division. Our organization prides itself on a team of skilled professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional services to our clientele. The Civil Graduate Engineer will collaborate with licensed Civil Engineers, gaining insight into our standard procedures and local regulations. This role involves engaging in public infrastructure initiatives, performing technical calculations, generating plans and specifications, and aiding in project management responsibilities. To pursue a Professional Engineering license, candidates should be organized, self-driven, and capable of collaboratively addressing complex challenges efficiently and within budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the project team in designing public infrastructure, including water and sanitary sewer systems, roadways, water treatment facilities, and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Assist in the creation of construction drawings, technical specifications, and contract documentation.
  • Compile engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility assessments.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil3D and Bluebeam to prepare various design drawings and exhibits.
  • Coordinate with agency personnel and internal teams regarding designs, analyses, and project-related issues.
  • Employ Microsoft Office Suite for calculations in Excel, documentation in Word, and presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Contribute to construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D, including grading plans, profiles, construction details, and plans for storm drainage, water, and sewer facilities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Engineer-in-Training Certificate, or the ability to secure within a specified timeframe.
  • Fundamental knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D software.
