About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Mechanic to join our team at Employee Owned Holdings, Inc. as part of our motion control solutions division. As an Assembly Mechanic, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and servicing customized mechanical, hydraulic, electro-mechanical/hydraulic, or electrical components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components according to engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Manage workflow to meet customer-required dates and maintain quality standards.
  • Perform general mechanical tasks, including welding, torching, grinding, painting, and other related activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly, testing, and quality control.
  • Properly control, store, and maintain assets, including inventory, tools, and machinery.
  • Fabricate and install high-pressure tubing using standard fittings.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including test stands, saws, and paint booths.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Disassemble machinery and repair or replace broken parts.
  • Dismantle, test, and analyze malfunctioning equipment to locate defects.
  • Clean and lubricate parts.
  • Monitor equipment functionality to detect hazards and potential issues.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift license preferred.
  • Journeyman skilled craft training or apprenticeship certificate preferred.
  • Fluid Power Society Certification for mechanic or technician preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Welding and spray booth painting experience preferred.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of electrical processes and procedures.
  • Assembling, testing, and servicing hydraulic components.
  • Ability to implement mechanical knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and use general math applications.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic control systems schematics/blueprints.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments to ensure components/systems are within required tolerance and specifications.
