Key Responsibilities:
- Directing and motivating staff across various levels to achieve production goals.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations to maintain a secure workplace.
- Regularly communicating with senior management regarding production challenges and solutions.
- Assessing machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
- Balancing productivity enhancements with cost reduction strategies.
- Setting and monitoring productivity targets for each manufacturing team.
- Developing and implementing policies to streamline workflows while upholding safety and quality standards.
- Driving initiatives to improve product quality and reduce waste.
- Scheduling and managing staff effectively across assigned product lines.
- Collaborating with other department leaders in finance, engineering, and safety.
- Supervising Product Line Group Managers for various product lines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Manufacturing Technology; a Master's Degree is preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality management.
- Experience in wood manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of business and management principles related to strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Proficient in production processes, quality control, and cost management techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set and achieve both short- and long-term objectives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Highly motivated with a collaborative mindset and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated supervisory and interpersonal skills, along with good customer service and presentation abilities.
