Romanoff Group, a leading provider of electrical services, is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine project scope, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Identify and assemble all necessary tools and equipment for tasks.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols to mitigate hazards.
  • Install and terminate electrical equipment, including breakers and control panels.
  • Test electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings.
  • Inspect electrical equipment and components to identify potential hazards and ensure proper functioning.
  • Set up and maintain temporary power systems.
  • Install and maintain grounding systems for all equipment and structures.
  • Stay up-to-date with electrical theory, including Ohm's Law.
  • Maintain proficiency in cable pulling methods and utilize specialized electrical tools.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
  • Identify and differentiate between various types, gauges, and colors of cables and wires.
  • Follow instructions accurately and maintain a high level of reliability, accountability, and consistency in administrative tasks.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with lockout/tagout systems and residential building codes/electrical codes.
  • Have a working knowledge of boxing and pulling Romex in compliance with local building codes.
  • Adhere to all instructed safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Attend work on time, work designated schedules, and participate in overtime as needed with proper notification.
  • Communicate effectively and possess professional interpersonal skills.
  • Train and coach coworkers, provide on-site direction and leadership, and manage material, deadlines, and quality control of installations.
  • Ensure compliance with state/local building regulations and the National Electrical Code.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of documented field experience or completion of a 4-year electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Excellent understanding of the electrical industry and experience in finding and repairing faults in electrical systems.
  • Ability to meet all physical requirements, including working at heights in excess of 30 ft.
  • Reliable transportation and possession of all required tools.
  • Submission to a criminal background check and passing a drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
  • Multi-family project experience.
  • OSHA 30 hour Training.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to speak English and hear to communicate.
  • Ability to use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, cold, and wind, while wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, gloves, and safety toe, construction-grade work boots.
