Job Summary

Building & Earth Sciences, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Drill Assistant to join our team. As a Geotechnical Drill Assistant, you will provide critical support to our crew chief in performing geotechnical and environmental subsurface investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the crew chief in navigating to job sites, ensuring safe and effective travel.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Maintain a valid DOT health card and daily driver's log book.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and adhere to all company guidelines for operation and safety.
  • Assist with standard penetration testing using hollow stem augers, wet rotary drilling, wireline, and conventional rock coring tools.
  • Perform all tasks safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Ability to lift, move, or carry objects or materials weighing 75 to 100 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme climate conditions (hot/cold).
  • Visual and hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written and verbal communications in the English language.
  • Valid US Driver's License.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
