We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Christus Health. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists with medication histories and verify patient medication records accurately.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Prepare and compound pharmaceuticals, including non-sterile and sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products.
- Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain accurate records.
- Provide efficient and timely services, ensuring daily activities are complete and recorded.
- Maintain current technician license and ensure CE records and licensure are up-to-date.
- Participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities, collecting data and conducting monitors and inspections.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice required.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- ACPE accredited IV certification program, including hazardous (minimum 40 hours); or meet minimum State requirement.
This is a per diem as needed position, with varying work schedules. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will work in a fast-paced clinical environment, collaborating with our clinical team to provide exceptional patient care.
