We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective preparation and distribution of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including compounding, labeling, and packaging.
- Perform quality control checks on medications and supplies to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain accurate records of medication inventory, including ordering and stocking of supplies.
- Assist with the training and development of new staff members, including pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and safety.
- Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent experience.
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the state board of pharmacy.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, and laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and deadlines.
