Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Manager to join our team at the Department of Health and Human Services in Humboldt County. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of our mobile crisis programs throughout the county.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide crisis intervention services to individuals in need.
  • Develop and implement programmatic development, coordination, and implementation for multiple and/or complex programs or service delivery systems.
  • Provide administrative oversight of integrated programs and program support.
  • Supervise and direct staff providing similar or related multidisciplinary services.
  • Establish and implement frameworks for implementation of multidimensional programs.
  • Plan, organize, and provide direction of program support activities.
  • Develop and administer policies and procedures for multiple complex service delivery systems.
  • Interpret and apply state, federal, and local regulations in relation to the programs.
  • Recommend hiring of assigned staff, evaluate employee performance, and counsel employees as needed.
  • Direct services and treatment in areas of inpatient and outpatient, adult, child, and geriatric psychotherapy, alcohol and other drug therapy, and diversion.
  • Prepare and direct data collection and data analysis systems.
  • Identify and utilize community resources.
  • Participate in department management team and provide consultation to community advisory committees and other groups.
  • Oversee or identify program funding sources and prepare grant applications and proposals.
  • Direct receipt and review of program applications and determination of eligibility for program participants.
  • Monitor budgets and other financial reports.
  • Prepare documentation, correspondence, and other written materials related to program services.
Requirements
  • Equivalent to possession of a Master's degree with major coursework in social services, counseling, psychology, or other appropriate field.
  • Five years of experience, including supervisory and/or administrative experience in a mental health or human services program.
  • Two years post-licensure experience providing direct services in a mental health and/or drug and alcohol program.
