About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Exercise Specialist to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our cardiac rehabilitation team, you will play a critical role in helping patients achieve their health and wellness goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs and goals.
  • Assess patient risk factors and provide support and strategies for successful therapeutic lifestyle changes.
  • Design and teach exercise curricula, including resistance training aspects.
  • Assist with initial assessments, orientations, and discharge assessments of participants.
  • Develop and adjust individual exercise prescriptions in accordance with patient response and recommendations from physicians and other team members.
  • Supervise exercise sessions, monitoring participants for inappropriate responses to exercise.
  • Assist with documenting initial and daily assessment data in Epic.
  • Participate in the collection, analysis, and reporting of patient and program outcomes.
Requirements
  • Masters of Science in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support required.
  • MACVPR, AACVPR member preferred.
  • ASCM Clinical Exercise Specialist Certification (preferred).
  • Minimum of 1-year Cardiac Rehabilitation experience required.
