About the Role

The Sheriff's Office offers a unique opportunity for a Forensic Evidence Specialist to contribute to the safety and security of the community. This position is integral to the mission of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office, which is dedicated to safeguarding life and property.

The Forensic Evidence Specialist is responsible for the meticulous collection, preservation, and analysis of evidence at various crime scenes, including serious incidents such as homicides and assaults. This role may also involve providing expert testimony in court proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct specialized investigative tasks related to evidence management.
  • Respond to diverse crime scenes and ensure proper evidence handling.
  • Maintain composure in sensitive and challenging situations.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement personnel to support investigations.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
