Position Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned and proficient Plant Manager to oversee the production and manufacturing activities for our Nonwoven and Woven product lines. The successful candidate will exhibit exceptional leadership skills, possess a solid foundation in industrial engineering and maintenance, and be dedicated to achieving operational excellence and ongoing enhancement. The Plant Manager will be tasked with steering the facility towards meeting critical performance indicators (KPIs) as defined in our essential metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight: Strategically plan, coordinate, and manage the production of finished goods, ensuring optimal resource utilization and compliance with quality benchmarks.
  • Operational Excellence: Formulate and execute plans, schedules, and standard operating procedures to enhance production efficiency, product quality, workplace safety, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a culture centered on continuous improvement, minimizing downtime, enhancing KPIs, and maintaining a sense of urgency in improving plant performance. Data analytics and financial insights will be pivotal in guiding facility operations and decision-making.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and mentor assigned personnel, cultivating a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Project Management: Employ the 3 P's concept in project management and spearhead significant initiatives aimed at refining plant operations, including the advancement of predictive maintenance strategies. Ensure adherence to strategic project management protocols.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Manage plant budgeting, staffing, facilities, and capital expenditures, ensuring ongoing improvements and effective resource utilization.
  • Reporting and Accountability: Generate timely production and budget reports, ensuring that operations align with established targets and KPI objectives.
  • Safety and Compliance: Guarantee adherence to all safety regulations, ISO protocols, and environmental standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute insights and guidance for future growth initiatives. Engage in key strategic discussions and remain actively involved in the formulation and execution of strategic plans.
  • Customer and Vendor Engagement: Collaborate with customers, vendors, and various internal departments to ensure policy compliance and promote profitable growth. Provide technical support to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cultural Integration: Cultivate an understanding of the company culture, actively participating in initiatives that promote continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems.
  • Thorough understanding of safety compliance, policy management, and environmental compliance procedures.
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing methodologies and other business enhancement programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 principles.
  • Educational Background: University degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial maintenance.
  • At least 5 years in a plant management or director-level position overseeing operations, engineering, or maintenance.
  • Experience in the plastics sector (fiber extrusion, nonwoven) is advantageous.
