About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Director to lead our Outsourced CFO & Accounting Services group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial consulting and strategic support to our clients' leadership teams.

Your expertise in e-commerce and wholesale revenue models, as well as inventory and trade spend experience, will enable you to provide expert advice, data, and insights to our clients, ensuring they make informed business decisions.

You will also support our clients in their fundraising initiatives, both debt and equity, and preparation of investor pitch decks and Board presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to clients' management teams.
  • Support fundraising strategies and efforts of CEOs and Founders.
  • Prepare for Board presentations and attend Board of Directors' meetings as requested by clients.
  • Supervise junior finance staff in the development and maintenance of financial pro forma models.
  • Ensure financial models reflect GAAP.
  • Analyze trends in financial metrics and KPIs pertinent to clients' industries and needs.
  • Continually monitor metrics and highlight trends and unexpected variances.
  • Support clients' employee option plans and Cap Table management as needed.
  • Work with other members of the client team to review and support the creation and distribution of quarterly and monthly financial reports.
  • Implement and work with Business Intelligence and Dashboarding Technology tools.
  • Improve performance by evaluating clients' current processes to drive efficiencies.
  • Perform Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis and proactively provide strategic insights as needed.
  • Oversee all aspects of the client engagement to ensure client satisfaction and the timely preparation of accurate and insightful financial deliverables.
  • Expand services to existing clients.
  • Coach, mentor, and assist staff to develop their skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business field.
  • 15+ years of accounting or finance experience.
  • CFO experience with small, scaling, and/or start-up CPG companies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree highly preferred.
  • Consulting (multi-client) experience is preferred.
  • Ability to draft customized financial policies and procedures for clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
  • Executive presence: articulate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and demonstrate effective and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with ability to juggle multiple client requests simultaneously.
  • Ability to meet deadlines; highly driven and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work collaboratively with team members in a hands-on capacity as mentor and coach to both internal and client teams.
  • Collaborate with other EisnerAmper partners and colleagues to ensure seamless introductions and delivery of extended services.
  • Comfortable with a wide variety of financial software packages.
  • Ability to teach best accounting practices.
  • Understands the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive job cost system.
