The technician will be tasked with monitoring and documenting process parameters, addressing any deviations from established specifications. It is essential to verify that system startup parameters are within acceptable limits through both visual inspections and digital documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend and manage the complete paint system, which includes the conveyor system, power washing, drying ovens, style/panel detection areas, both manual and automated paint booths, baking ovens, paint mixing rooms, and unloading zones.
  • Skilled in operating and maintaining various types of paint application equipment, including automatic, manual, and spot paint guns.
  • Supervise robotic painting operations to ensure effective paint application and perform quality assurance checks.
  • Continuously observe and modify operational parameters on the paint line to uphold peak performance.
  • Promptly identify and resolve any disruptions in the process, collaborating with production team members, supervisors, and the paint manager.
  • Monitor paint and solvent usage, manage FIFO inventory, and validate paint batches.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers as needed.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to the painting process.
  • Assist in training fellow associates on painting techniques and equipment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate new materials and innovations.
  • Operate systems effectively to reduce downtime and enhance productivity.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Paint Manager.

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The qualifications outlined below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role.

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred, along with 3-5 years of experience in paint operations or a suitable combination of education and experience.
