Culinary Excellence in Higher Education

We are searching for a seasoned Executive Chef to spearhead our culinary efforts at a prestigious Higher Education campus. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and delivery, as well as managing inventory, controlling costs, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of culinary excellence by developing innovative menus, specials, and promotions that appeal to diverse tastes and dietary needs
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to deliver exceptional service and quality food, adhering to standardized recipes and portioning guidelines
  • Conduct daily production meetings to review menu plans, discuss concerns, and set priorities for the day
  • Monitor and control food costs, maintaining accurate records and reports to inform budget decisions
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations through regular audits and self-assessments
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development programs, and client satisfaction activities to stay informed and engaged
