POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This role is pivotal in delivering guidance, expertise, and support to the Warehouse Department team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and oversee daily operations, providing training and supervision to Material Control Attendants.
  • Responsible for strategizing, organizing, and overseeing the shipment of products, as well as the receipt, storage, and distribution of all incoming items.
  • Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments, preparing items for dispatch in collaboration with the Warehouse Shipping Lead and Shipping Coordinator.
  • Supervise receiving and shipping processes to ensure shipment accuracy, completeness, and condition.
  • Direct the movement of shipments from shipping and receiving zones to storage areas and internal departments.
  • Ensure precise inventory management through regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory checks.
  • Facilitate the delivery of incoming products to the appropriate end users.
  • Keep an accurate inventory of shipping materials and supplies, working closely with the Inventory Control team.
  • Interpret packing slips and accurately input data into the inventory management system.
  • Generate shipping and receiving documentation as required.
  • Conduct daily inspections of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and engage in safety meetings as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors and management.

TEAM MANAGEMENT:

  • Oversee the Warehouse Team, specifically the Material Control Attendants.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping and receiving, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • Must possess a valid license to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or demonstrate the ability to obtain one.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Physical Requirements:

Activities: Sitting – 25%, Walking/Standing – 75%

Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.

Bending: Capability to bend, squat, and climb as necessary.

Vision: Prolonged periods of close work on computer screens and the ability to discern small or detailed items.

Mental Requirements: Ability to interpret, analyze, research, and manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Work Environment: Combination of climate-controlled office and non-climate-controlled warehouse settings, with potential exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors.
