About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support the overall well-being of our students and residents. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work closely with our team to provide individualized support, promote independence, and foster a sense of community.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision and support to ensure the health and safety of students.
  • Work with students to increase independence in daily living, communication, recreation, and social skills domains.
  • Assist with training and implementing formal and informal student learning goals.
  • Act as a member of a residential team, representing student progress, challenges, and abilities in a respectful manner.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and support good health, safety, and productivity.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • NYS Drivers License preferred.
  • Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shifts and weekends.
  • Completion of two-week orientation and maintenance of training or qualifications as they relate to Anderson Center for Autism.
