About the Job

As a Heavy Equipment Operator II with the City of McAllen, you will play a critical role in maintaining the city's infrastructure and ensuring the safety of its residents. Under the direction of a Crew Leader or Supervisor, you will operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment, including Street Sweepers, Patch Trucks, Front End Loaders, Backhoes, and Paving equipment. Your work will involve flushing and vacuuming streets, patching roads, and performing other tasks as needed.
