Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the Operating Room, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure accurate and timely completion of surgical procedures.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients throughout the surgical process.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient charts and surgical logs.
  • Stay current with the latest medical technologies, techniques, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and enhance the surgical experience.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
  • 1-3 years of Operating Room experience preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program through NBSTSA.
  • Certification exam must be taken and passed within 12 months of completion of surgical technologist program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in a large complex Operating Room, preferred.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
