Position Overview

This role involves managing the maintenance team and ensuring the upkeep of our multifamily residential properties.

Key Responsibilities

The Facilities Operations Supervisor will be tasked with:

  • Overseeing the maintenance personnel and ensuring the proper functioning of all physical assets.
  • Conducting general maintenance repairs and addressing safety concerns.
  • Coordinating apartment make-ready processes and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Managing construction or rehabilitation projects within the properties.
  • Maintaining an adequate inventory of maintenance supplies and monitoring the monthly maintenance budget.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • A minimum of two years in a Maintenance III role or three years of relevant experience in a maintenance-related field, ideally within property management.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in janitorial services and pool maintenance.
  • Advanced knowledge in electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, and painting.
  • A positive demeanor with the ability to inspire and support team members.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capability to instruct others on maintenance tasks while prioritizing safety.
  • Physical ability to operate maintenance equipment and handle materials safely.
  • Reliable transportation for transporting necessary tools and equipment.
  • Availability for emergency situations outside of regular hours.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of relevant landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations.
