Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurse

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab at SOVAH Martinsville, you will deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in alignment with established standards of practice before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and specialized procedures.
Your primary responsibility will be the care of patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations. This includes assisting in all procedures, providing patient education, conducting assessments and monitoring, administering medications, and engaging in performance improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver age-specific care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, ensuring comfort and support through nursing tasks and education in accordance with care standards and cultural diversity.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and adhere to Infection Control policies.
- Engage in an on-call schedule for STEMI interventions, practicing in compliance with state and federal regulations and healthcare standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Current RN licensure from the Virginia State Board of Nursing
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and AHA ACLS certifications
- Preferred: Imaging, Interventional, and Therapeutic Environments Certification
- Preferred: Two years of critical care or emergency room nursing experience
- Proficiency in complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring, IV therapy, moderate sedation, and medication administration.
