As a Cardiac Catheterization Nurse with SOVAH Health – Martinsville, you will provide direct patient care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations. This role requires assisting in all procedures, providing patient education, assessment and monitoring, administering medications, and participating in performance improvement activities. You will also be responsible for age-specific directed care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric individuals, including tasks necessary for physical care and comfort, supportive tasks, and teaching according to standards of care and cultural diversity.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in all procedures, including cardiac catheterizations
- Provide patient education, assessment, and monitoring
- Administer medications and participate in performance improvement activities
- Provide age-specific directed care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric individuals
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure from the Virginia State Board of Nursing
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) & AHA ACLS required
- Imaging, Interventional and Therapeutic Environments Certification, Preferred
