Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Data Science to join our team at Walmart. As a strategic partner, you will work across the organization to provide insights and influence strategic decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, model, develop, and implement state-of-the-art models and solutions for execution and strategic planning.
  • Execute analytical capability to help business leaders understand optimization opportunities and metrics.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to solve problems, create operational efficiencies, and deliver successfully against high organizational standards.

Requirements:

  • PhD (or Master's degree plus 3+ years of industry or academic research experience) in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience building machine learning or optimization models or developing algorithms for business applications.
  • Detailed knowledge of applied optimization methods.
  • Demonstrable work experience on optimization models deployed into production systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Data science, machine learning, optimization models.
  • PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics.
  • Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
