About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Registrar to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a Medical Registrar, you will play a critical role in facilitating the patient admission process, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Verify and authorize insurance benefits for patients through electronic verification systems and third-party payers.
  • Collect co-payments and patient liabilities, and enter necessary information into the hospital computer system.
  • Provide information and answer questions about the Payment Assistance program.
  • Facilitate the patient admission flow, including activities such as patient identification, demographic and insurance information collection, and required signatures and documents.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
  • Previous experience in a clerical setting.
  • Computer skills, including experience with EMR/Cerner systems.
  • Current BLS certification.
