As a Research Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for generating innovative research inquiries and formulating hypotheses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to support research initiatives.
- Engage in collaborative team meetings aimed at designing and implementing research projects.
- Oversee extensive data collection efforts utilizing online survey platforms.
- Design and program experimental materials using software tools.
- Recruit, assess, and debrief participants for both neuroimaging and behavioral studies.
- Preprocess and analyze experimental data, employing programming languages such as R, MATLAB, or Python.
- Prepare scholarly manuscripts for publication in academic journals.
- Provide guidance and support to laboratory personnel.
- Organize and facilitate lab meetings and events.
- Manage Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals and modifications.
- Draft updates for grant applications.
- Report on the laboratory's utilization of computational resources.
- Prepare and submit financial reports.
- Onboard new staff members and assist with equipment procurement.
- Maintain the laboratory's online presence and social media platforms.
- Analyze and manage data and specimens, assist in literature reviews, and support the preparation of reports and manuscripts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
A bachelor's degree or higher in fields such as neuroscience, cognitive science, computer science, psychology, sociology, biology, physics, or mathematics.
Experience:
Research experience in cognitive neuroscience, psychology, or related social sciences is advantageous but not mandatory.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., R, MATLAB, Python) is expected, with opportunities for skill enhancement through lab training and collaborative projects.
Competencies:
Self-motivated, independent, and dependable candidates are preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
