Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Carle Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized examinations in CT, adapting procedures to obtain specific diagnostic and/or therapeutic results, and preparing patients for examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination within the guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards of Medical Imaging.
  • Develop new procedures and deviate from routines when the patient's condition requires it or at the request of the radiologist.
  • Obtain, document, and oversee accurate pre and post-procedure information as applicable.
  • Maintain expert working knowledge of equipment operation and troubleshooting, including hardware and software, CT1 and CT2, workstations, printers.
  • Work with physicians and coding specialists to ensure efficient and accurate coding of procedures.
  • Develop and implement annual competencies for all CT technologists and ensure staff compliance.
  • Participate in the QI process and lead in development of teamwork of staff to ensure efficient and appropriate patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • IEMA Radiography License Illinois upon hire.
  • Radiography (R)(ARRT) upon hire.
  • Computed Tomography (CT)(ARRT) upon hire.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in/with CT experience required.
