Role Overview


As a Bridge EIT/Coordinator at HDR, you will be a key member of our team working on bridge design projects. Your responsibilities will include applying structural engineering techniques, working on bridge design projects, and performing structural load calculations.


Key Responsibilities



  1. Apply structural engineering techniques in the development of bridge designs
  2. Work on bridge design projects that include bridge, box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects
  3. Perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
  4. Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures and develop structural details using specialized software
  5. Participate in bridge inspection and perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development

Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Familiarity with engineering software packages such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, CSiBridge, ADINA, RM Bridge, spColumn, LUSAS, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree
  • MS Office, MathCAD and AutoCAD, LARSA and Prestress Concrete Design experience
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and knowledge of engineering software packages such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge
  • Bently OpenBridge Modeler and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
