We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Leader to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a Professor of Humanities and Civic Education, you will play a key role in shaping the academic mission of our institution.

Job Summary

The Hamilton Center for Classical and Civic Education is a multidisciplinary academic unit that supports teaching and research concerning the ideas, traditions, and texts that shape Western civilization and American values and institutions. We are seeking a tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor to start in the academic year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the academic mission of the Hamilton Center.
  • Teach and mentor students in the areas of humanities and civic education.
  • Engage in research and scholarship that aligns with the mission of the Hamilton Center.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote civil discourse and the ethic of citizenship.
  • Develop and lead programs that prepare students for meaningful careers.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong research and teaching record.
  • Ability to contribute to the academic mission of the Hamilton Center.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
