Job Summary

The College of Southern Nevada is seeking a qualified part-time instructor to teach in the Dental Hygiene Associate program. As a clinical educator, you will provide instruction in didactic, clinical, and/or lab settings, and may include evening classes. The Program Director will assign course responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in dental hygiene courses, adhering to program objectives and curriculum standards.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to promote student learning and success.
  • Collaborate with program faculty to ensure curriculum alignment and student support.
  • Participate in faculty development and program review activities, including evenings and weekends.
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and program administrators to ensure a positive learning environment.
Student Evaluation and Assessment
  • Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote academic growth.
  • Develop and administer exams, quizzes, and other assessments to measure student learning outcomes.
  • Assign grades and provide timely feedback to students.
Compensation and Benefits

The part-time instructor will be compensated at a rate of $925 per instructional unit for lecture classes and $46.25 per hour for lab or clinical instruction. This position is exempt and requires a 25% full-time equivalent workload.
