Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise office and workshop staff along with daily operational activities.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Implement necessary corrective measures for employee non-compliance.
  • Ensure that the quality of work, attitude, and performance consistently meets or exceeds customer satisfaction targets.
  • Direct the organized and efficient operation of the facility.
  • Maintain a consistently positive attitude and effective communication.
  • Prepare estimates and work orders as required.
  • Guide Service Writers in developing guest estimates and work orders, assigning tasks to technicians.
  • Ensure the selection of high-quality parts.
  • Achieve target profit margins.
  • Manage daily opening and closing of the facility.
  • Recruit, hire, and train local talent as necessary.
  • Oversee employee development through coaching and skill enhancement.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations, audits, and report analyses, presenting findings to Franchise Owners or Operators.
  • Ensure all equipment is operational and well-maintained.
  • Provide technicians with the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Exhibit professionalism to represent a quality organization, consistently demonstrating honesty and integrity.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive repair, ideally in Fixed Operations or Service Management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in supervisory or management roles within the automotive sector.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage service manager/writer roles.
  • Experience in leading and managing automotive technicians effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in automotive repair estimating and repair order generation.
  • Proficient in Windows PC applications, including MS Office.
  • Familiarity with TekMetric or similar shop management systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain on your feet for most of the workday (standing, walking, etc.).
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of objects over 50 lbs.
  • Capability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
  • Maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members via phone and computer.
