Job Summary

The Material Handler is a key member of our warehouse team, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the loading, shipping, and manufacturing areas of our plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Operate Lift Trucks: Conduct daily inspections and report any issues to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Unload and Store Inbound Freight: Move materials to designated storage areas after verifying accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in Receiving Process: Count, verify pack slips, and enter data into our X3 system.
  • Supply and Move Materials: Assist manufacturing operations by moving raw materials, formed parts, work-in-progress, and storage materials.
  • Prepare LTL Shipments: Package materials properly to prevent damage and loss.
  • Assist with Manual Loading: Load knockdown trucks and unit shipments as needed.
  • Respond to Demand Lights: Minimize equipment downtime by addressing issues promptly.
  • Notify Supervisor of Quality Issues: Report any quality concerns or damaged products.
Requirements
  • Lift Truck License: Must pass and maintain a valid lift truck license.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 40 pounds and visually identify colors.
  • Communication Skills: Complete production paperwork legibly and use data entry devices as required.
Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing operation setting and warehouse loading/unloading dock setting, exposing you to varying temperatures and noise levels. Hearing protection is required in certain areas. You will also have occasional outdoor exposure to store and retrieve product.
