Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in a hospital and/or clinical setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic services, utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment, and performing various medical imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Perform routine, emergent, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Image Processing: Understand and utilize the current RIS and PACS system, working under the supervision of a radiologist as needed.
  • Patient Care: Provide patient registration, scheduling, and transportation services, as well as file work and restocking supplies.
  • On-Call Schedule: Participate in an on-call or standby schedule as required.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • License and Certification: Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) or Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) required.
  • Basic Life Support: Certification required within one month of hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification: Required at hire from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three years.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, including time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient knowledge of radiology equipment and exams, including fluoroscopy, DXA, surgery, portable, and routine radiographic exams.
