Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Atrium Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in radiologic exams and venipuncture procedures, with a focus on providing high-quality examinations while adhering to radiation safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform radiologic exams as ordered by physicians, utilizing standard operating procedures and technical factors to ensure accurate results.
  • Consult with radiologists and physicians as necessary to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate patient records, including specimen collection and preparation for transport to medical facilities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care and support.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; successful completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program preferred.
  • Current registry with ARRT or ability to obtain registry within 6 months of hire date required.
  • 1 year of experience in radiologic technology preferred; BLS certification required.

Physical Requirements

This role requires strenuous physical activity, including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, and bending. The successful candidate must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds and possess an intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity.
