Join Our Mission Critical Team

Burns & McDonnell is a leading engineering and architecture firm with a strong presence in the US and globally. Our Mission Critical team is a top-ranked international practice, and we're seeking a talented Architect to lead our mission-critical data center projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide project leadership and coordination for finished plans, specifications, and material selections.
  • Lead and produce accurate technical and contract documentation for project construction.
  • Collaborate with government and regulatory agencies to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage resources to produce 3D software renderings and critical presentations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an accredited program and 4 years of architectural experience or Master's Degree in Architecture and 3 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated progress toward becoming a Registered Architect.
  • Strong knowledge of standard architectural techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
Work Environment:

Full-time position with occasional travel (10% of the time). Primary location in Roanoke, VA.
