Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Performing Art Instructor to join our team at the Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) in Washington D.C. The ideal candidate will have a passion for inspiring and guiding future talents, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging lesson plans tailored to educational standards, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment, and collaborating with colleagues to design a cohesive and enriching academic journey for students.

Key qualifications include strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in GSuite, flexibility in schedule, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

We offer competitive hourly wages starting at $22 and going up to $25, giving you the opportunity to influence the growth, resilience, and success of young individuals in a supportive and lively environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement educational programs to empower youth in our community.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, promoting their artistic talents and academic success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement a cohesive and enriching academic journey for students.
  • Maintain accurate student progress records and communicate effectively with parents or guardians.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in performing arts education.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in GSuite and ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
  • Flexibility in schedule, including availability on weekends and evenings.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
