About the Role:

  • This is a full-time, day-shift position responsible for assisting in the preparation of work schedules for all nursing personnel.
  • You will visit patients to ensure maximum care and communicate with staff and physicians about daily nursing operations.
  • A key aspect of this role is to supervise and direct nursing personnel to provide the best possible patient care.
  • You will serve as a liaison between staff nursing and nurse management to facilitate effective communication.
  • Monitors the Quality Assurance Program of the facility to maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Assigns duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, supervising and evaluating their work performance.
  • Serves as Infection Control Nurse for the facility, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Reviews decubiti reports monthly and monitors skin integrity weekly.
  • Handles disciplinary problems involving nursing personnel, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the success of the facility.

Requirements:

  • R.N. licensure in North Carolina is required.
  • Two years of experience in skilled nursing, preferably one year in a geriatric setting.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for the facility.
  • Strong interest in geriatric nursing and ability to make informed decisions regarding patient care.
  • Supervisory skills to lead nursing staff and ensure timely completion of work assignments.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow facility policies and procedures, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
