Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $$65,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
About the Role:
As a Geriatric Nurse Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced nursing environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Nursing Services Direction: Assist in directing nursing services for the unit, in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Duty Delegation: Delegate tasks to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitor their work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Patient Observation: Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, including general physical and mental condition, for signs that may indicate adverse changes.
- Emergency Response: Assist with notifying attending physicians of emergencies and deaths of patients in the unit, implementing changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Education: High school graduate with a licensed practical nurse degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Licensure: Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and proof of renewal every two years.
- Certifications: CPR certified yearly and willing to obtain additional certifications as required.
- Skills and Qualities: Ability to provide quality nursing care, follow doctors' orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
