About Val Verde Unified School District

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of six (6) units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or completion of a Child Care course through the Regional Occupational Program (ROP) is necessary.
  • Passing the NCLB - VVUSD District Exam is a requirement.

Application and Hiring Process

  • Applicants must submit an online application through EDJOIN.
  • Required online attachments include a copy of the High School diploma or equivalent, unofficial transcripts showing completion of the required ECE or Child Care course, and a copy of the NCLB - VVUSD exam letter indicating a passing score of 75% or higher.
  • Current District employees who have passed the NCLB exam must attach a copy of their letter indicating a passing score and/or NCLB Certificate.

Additional Requirements

  • Immunizations (Pertussis, Measles, and Influenza) will be required as part of the pre-employment clearances for hired candidates.

Selection Process

  • Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will be invited to take the District's NCLB exam.
