Job Summary

At Victor, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Wellness Coach II to join our team. As a key member of our wellness services team, you will play a vital role in promoting the mental health and well-being of youth in our community.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group support for students with behavioral health concerns, promoting emotional well-being and wellness using structured curriculum materials.
• Facilitate promotion and prevention program services, including health education related to behavioral health, raising awareness of prevalent conditions through organized curricula.
• Connect students to behavioral health support resources, such as outpatient therapy, support groups, and social services.
• Deliver wellness education on topics such as behavioral health symptoms, nutrition, and exercise, supporting students in setting and planning goals for improved physical activity and sleep habits.
• Instruct on essential life skills, including stress management, time management, and problem-solving, providing guidance on coping skills for youth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Addiction Studies, Child Development/Early Intervention, Psychology, or Sociology from an accredited California Community College.
• Minimum one year of related work or field experience in mental health, substance use/addiction, social work, child welfare, or related fields in educational settings, non-profit organizations, community organizations, clinics, or health centers.
• Current California Certified Wellness Coach Certification and basic knowledge of the English language, with the ability to effectively communicate with students and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft Office suite, with a valid California driver's license, personal automobile insurance, and driving record meeting the Agency's Policy: Motor Vehicle Operating Standards.
• Willingness to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) test, drug screening test, personal background investigation, and obtain First Aid Certification and CPR Certification (if required by local county or site).

Working Conditions

• Ability to work in a school, office, or outdoor community environment, with an adequate range of body motion and mobility, including standing and walking, alternating between standing and sitting, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, balancing, and occasional carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Physically able to walk up and down stairs routinely and sit for prolonged periods in a vehicle to travel to assigned schools, office, or other assigned locations.
• Requires the ability to utilize computer and telephone systems, with coordination of eye and hand and fine manipulation by the hands and fingers for typing, writing, and working with files.
