Role Overview: We are in search of a skilled and experienced Senior Construction Estimator to enhance our dynamic Construction and Field Services Division. This pivotal role will encompass leading all facets of project estimation for environmental and civil construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate bid opportunities to pinpoint suitable projects.
  • Analyze construction plans and specifications, utilizing Bluebeam Revu and other estimating tools for precise quantity takeoffs.
  • Participate in site visits to collect critical information that informs construction estimates.
  • Prepare and distribute bid packages, soliciting estimates from material suppliers and specialized subcontractors.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of received bids, assessing pricing and completeness to determine inclusions in estimates.
  • Develop cost estimates using our proprietary estimating system.
  • Facilitate pre-final and final bid reviews with senior construction management prior to submission.
  • Assist construction managers with cost estimates for change orders.
  • Collaborate with fellow estimators on larger proposal efforts.
  • Maintain and update pricing history databases to compare production rates from past projects with those projected for new estimates.
  • Keep current databases of labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing rates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, science, or management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in leading and preparing construction estimates for environmental remediation and civil construction projects.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites for bid walks.
  • Familiarity with prevailing wages and industry standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of $120,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience, education, and location.
