Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Regency Integrated Health Services in Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Weslaco. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents.

About the Role

This is a PRN position, providing flexible scheduling opportunities. You will work closely with our experienced nursing staff to administer medications, monitor resident health, and provide exceptional care and support.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing and administering prescribed medications according to protocol.
  • Maintaining accurate records of medication administration.
  • Observing and reporting any adverse reactions or side effects to medications.
  • Assisting with daily tasks such as bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the nursing station, medication room, and supply room.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of the State Approved Medication Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
  • Good standing in the state registry.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, preferably one year.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Universal Precautions and Blood Borne Pathogen rules.
